Hyemi Joo

Swing dancing since: 2022

Hyemi joined Fidgety Feet in 2024. She started swing dancing when her husband first mentioned dancing to her. After looking up swing dance on YouTube she decided to join him. Hyemi has always enjoyed dancing, but for her, Lindy Hop is especially fun because it involves synchronizing with a partner. Driven by her passion for dance, Hyemi went to the four-week-long International Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden after just one year of dancing. Even though she couldn't speak the language, communicating through dance was so enjoyable. Hyemi continues to dance in the Washington DC-Maryland area and enjoys the many experiences of both social dancing and being on a dance team.
